Did devs completely give up on the project at this point?
Yes. I'm no longer actively working on nor collecting data for this project due to extremely low demand and personal loss of interest. Also, taking the current state of Pirate101 into consideration, I'm not convinced that this project is worth reviving.
Barring the introduction of the hatchmaking kiosk in Pirate101, the data is as close to completion as it's realistically going to get.

I updated the databases for both talents and powers this evening. No new data was added nor do I plan on adding any new data. The purpose of this data was to simplify and future-proof Project O's talent naming conventions.
The new conventions are as follows:
The very first letter and all letters immediately following a space are always capitalized. (e.g. Grants Turn The Tide vs. Grants Turn the Tide)
All remaining letters are always lower-case. (e.g. Snowborn vs. SnowBorn)
All hyphens (-) are replaced with a single space. (e.g. Ice O Lation vs. Ice-O-Lation)
All other punctuation marks except the apostrophe (') are always omitted. (e.g. Cornered 1 vs. Cornered! 1)
All duplicate talent names contain parentheticals enclosed by parentheses. (e.g. Sneak Attack (Purple P) vs. Sneak Attack)
All parentheticals are determined solely by the talent's pet of origin(e.g. Sneak Attack (Purple P) first originated from the Purple Polkaloon)
The first word in the pet of origin's name is always capitalized and spelled out in full.
Each word thereafter in the pet of origin's name only require the first letter but may be fully spelled out if needed. (e.g. Sneak Attack (Purple Polkaloon))
If duplicate talent names share the same pet of origin, differentiate them with their slot number of origin. (e.g. Epic Shot (Ebon S 4))
These conventions only apply to base names and sort names. Wiki names will continue to follow the Wiki's naming conventions with one notable exception: duplicate talents without any parentheticals on the Wiki will be marked with their Project O equivalents enclosed with curly brackets (e.g. Relentless 2 {Heckhound C}). This exception is necessary because Project O's calculation tools require all talents to have unique wiki names in order to calculate talent order properly. Parentheticals with curly brackets will remain in use until the Wiki declares their own parentheticals.
And finally, base names are sort names with single-digit rarity IDs in front. The rarity IDs are as follows:
I just noticed that this thread got over 12,000 views. I'm very stunned to witness how much attention the databases over here have gotten despite my inactivity. Its sister thread over on Wizard101 Central doesn't even come close to half that number. So I want to say thank you all so much for taking the time to see all the data I've collected . May the winds turn in your favor!
Now, onto the real reason I'm posting here today. Almost two years ago, I made our Excel spreadsheets available to the public on Wizard101 Central in a desperate gamble to garner more attention to the project. Whether it has paid off or not is debatable, but I have actually seen a couple people mention our workbooks in passing outside of Central not too long ago: that moment still makes me smile. For a long time, I've only published the spreadsheets that contain data for Wizard101. No support for Pirate101 as I didn't think anyone would actually download them let alone know Project O exists. However, a recent breakthrough in Project O's development had unexpectedly open the door to making Pirate101 support actually worthwhile.
I'll let you pirates in on a little secret . By tinkering around with a couple settings in the upcoming version 8.4.0 update (coming early next month!), you can receive over-the-air database updates for Pirate101's talents and powers. You can get access to the latest data by just opening up the file! Rather than waiting a very long time for another version update. The steps taken will be as follows:
(1) Download version 8.4.0 or later from Wizard101 Central
(2) Click on the "Workbook Settings" sheet
(3) Shift the setting in cell B28 ("Workbook Mode:") to 3 ("Talents (P101)") or 4 ("Powers (P101)").
(4) Shift the setting in cell B27 ("Over-the-Air Database Updates:") to 1.
(5) Save, close, and reopen the workbook.
It's that simple! Though you must be aware that every time an over-the-air update fails, the setting in cell B27 will revert back to 0 and then force the workbook closed to properly wipe away the damage.
And that's about everything. Hope you all are as excited about this prospect as I am! Until next time, please keep your eyes peeled on this thread: that's where the fresh batch will be distributed.
Happy Holidays and have an exciting new year!
