Re: Are you interested in the Ancient Greeks or the Ancient Romans?
Ancient Greeks and every U.S. Secretary of State, eh?
You could try reading books like The Iliad, The Histories, Greek Fire, and Medea for starters. These are considered some of the best books on Ancient Greece.

What is it exactly you want to know? I'm a bit of a greek buff (named after one of the people in the legends!) So maybe I could answer any questions.
every person collects something be it stamps or rare books, I on the other hand collect golden chickens...and that my friends, is the true meaning of Christmas. *cough* crazy person *cough*Credit to Doom-N-Gloomy for my amazing avatar
Re: Are you interested in the Ancient Greeks or the Ancient Romans?
I personally love Greek / Roman mythology, I would recommend you investigate that.
If you want an authentic and detailed understanding of Greek Myth and culture, read what the others have said. Upon this, I am sure the internet has plenty of other credible resources for you.
If you like Greek / Roman Myth for pure entertainment value, then I would recommend reading and or watching some greek based fantasy series. Percy Jackson and the Heroes of Olympus series are interesting books to read that mix the modern and ancient for a wild, awesome adventure. Class of the Titans is a great TV show I watched as a kid and recently rewatched last year for nostalgia. Clash of the Titans (the old one) was an entertaining watch as well. There is also the God of War games and recent AC Odyssey game which deal with ancient Greek / Roman culture, and the 300 movies, but fair warning these games are not meant for young audiences. Do not consider any of the sources in this paragraph as an educational medium- if you truly want to learn, read history books or watch credible documentaries.
Also, note that whilst Roman and Greek myth are extremely similar (i.e Zeus, Poseidon and Hades are akin to Jupiter, Neptune and Pluto), there are some differences here and there.
