Pirate101 Fin% Speedrun (Witchdoctor): 13;11.

My current successful speedrun of Pirate101 in the Fin% category (starts as soon as you hit "Yar!" to skip the tutorial & ends as soon as you turn in the quest "Into the Skull Cave" to Avery). Definitely room for improvement as I had bad shark and shrine runs (first shark took an extra turn & fight 2 I wasted time moving Kan too far), with the Fin run being faster because I remembered to get the idol before porting this time, which made the run 10 seconds faster than before.

Ideally in a perfect world a run would look like this:

Getting into both Troggy fights fast with Kan Po either killing with crit or blocking & killing the Troggy Warriors with Riposte turn 1 with the sharks also taking 1 round.
Hugging the mound at 2:36 to mark slingshot fast. This heavily depends on where the troggies are at the time as if you misjudge it you'll get pulled, ending the run.
Having a fast shrine run with good start locations.
Having a fast Fin run w/ every attack hitting & Kan hitting Ripostes (crits ideally) on Fin who only attacks him. Good spawn locations for everyone helps too.
As minimal time spent moving units as possible.
As few crits as possible. While Kan Po crits are needed against troggies and sharks unneeded crits just take up time due to their animations.

11/28 UPDATE: Just completed another run which clocked in at 12:36. Positives: Good shrine run and spawns and good start to Fin with Kan getting a Riposte crit. Negatives: Bad Shaman run due to bad spawns and bad end to Fin with me not using Scatterblast (may have brought the time down) as well as bad Court spawn. Run below.



11/29 UPDATE: A new PB of 12:25. Might've gotten WR if Bonnie was in a better position during Fin.

New personal best of 12:09. Fin still continues to be a major struggle for me in terms of getting a good time since there's a lot of RNG involved in it (hoping the spawns are good, hoping Fin moves more than 2 spaces turn1, hoping Fin attacks Kan who blocks & hits back with Riposte, hoping the sharks don't crit, etc.).

After a few more failed attempts and competition from another Speedrunner (who took 4th from me) I'm gonna switch to Buccaneer (the class 1st place used with a time of 11:18). Not only does the starter power allow for a quicker Troggy 1 and potentially quicker Flooded Shrine but Kobe starts with First Strike, which can be helpful against Fin and other mobs since he doesn't have to hope for a block for his epic trigger.

After many attempts I finally got a new PB of 11:35. Had bad Troggies and Sharks but good Flooded Shrine and Fin runs helped make up for it.
EDIT: At the time of this post the run currently sits at 4th out of 17 in the category, with 3rd being faster by a whole 3 seconds.

Got a new PB in 11:11, which is good enough for 2nd place. It might've been a WR if I didn't get stuck on the wall by Shepard since that cost me about 4 seconds.
