"Pirate101 game servers will be under maintenance on September 29 at 2am CT for a couple of hours.

Maintenance includes a 10th birthday kick-off surprise! A new quest is being introduced, as well as some new birthday items!"

I hope this isn't the "big surprise" KI has been hinting recently. This update barely qualifies as a definition of an update, since over in Wiz these are called pre-quests and are temporary introduction quests you get prior to a new world being introduced.

The first part reminded me a bit of the Coins quest that led us to the Gratitude Statue in front of Avery's office. When Blind Mew started reading the poem, I was hoping we were finally going to meet Short Stop and The Jones inside of the cave near Catbeard's ship, but then I saw Xol Akmul and we were going back to Blood Shoals - slight disappointment...
