There just isn't enough activity here on the site to justify holding contests. I am the only Forum Staff member still active, and I believe that the last contest I posted had fewer than ten entries. @Celestialmoon has seen very little interest in Tournaments for several years, ending with begging enough players to participate. Kingsisle doesn't reach out to us with codes or anything like that, we have to make our plans and request the codes we want and wait to see if they will provide them.

If more members would come around and maybe participate in discussions and show interest in keeping the site active, perhaps things would change. It's a matter of you guys making it worth OUR while to do it.

I'm sorry if that sounds unenthusiastic, but there have been too many weeks in a row with no activity other than my own. One member and 359 guests...

Sadly, part of that is a result of the site becoming dysfunctional. I was also locked out of the site because I couldn't reset my password due to a dysfunctional CAPTCHA for a long time. I guess the long period of members not being able to log in due to the website's malfunction resulted in lack of activity sadly. sorry to hear this is how it is for the moment, but it seems that they're promoting social media activity moreso than official forums now

Yes, the fact that the site has had some problems hasn't helped, you're right. Our current Kingsisle Community Manager, Chris (Hawkules), prefers hanging out with the folks on social media, although I must say that he has been participating on the main message boards regularly - about one or twice per week. Too long with nothing new to talk about, combined with waiting a week to see anyone else's response doesn't make for lively discussions.

I have become so used to the more mature version of discussion here in Central forums. Social media threads that I have seen tend to devolve into memes and off-topic posts. It makes me feel my age, visiting the official Discord, but that's where the majority of players seem to be. We've got the wiki back now, though and hopefully some of our visitors will become more active members.

I agree with Willow. I'm saddened by the lack of interest, the lack of community, the lack of everything for so long. I loved holding contests and tournaments so much and wish we could get that back again with the interest to make it all worth it.
